Pulse Fibre, Adtran Expand Multigigabit Network in UK Homes

Adtran has announced that Pulse Fibre has chosen its 10 Gbit/s XGS-PON fiber access platform to support the latest phase of its network expansion.

Targeting new housing developments, Pulse Fibre aims to deliver gigabit and multigigabit internet services, offering symmetrical speeds of up to 10 Gbit/s to over 250,000 UK homes across both rural and urban regions.

The upgraded network will allow Pulse Fibre to equip property developers with early-stage connectivity for crucial systems, including EV charging stations and security networks. This strategic rollout utilizes Adtran’s scalable broadband technology, providing a flexible, future-proof network capable of adapting to changing customer needs.

‘Construction Mode’ for Smart Infrastructure

“This collaboration with Adtran is a key step in our mission to deliver fast, reliable broadband to new housing developments across the UK. Pulse Fibre is expanding high-speed connectivity to an increasing number of households across the UK, utilizing Adtran’s advanced optical network technology. The new solution includes Adtran’s high-performance optical network terminals (ONTs) and software-defined optical line terminals (OLTs), all of which are supported by the Mosaic Cloud Platform (Mosaic CP).

Mosaic Cloud Platform

The SDX 6320 OLT enables Pulse Fibre to easily extend its services across various settings, from rural villages to bustling urban areas, while prioritizing energy efficiency and sustainability. Mosaic CP enhances the network’s capabilities by adding intelligent, programmable management, streamlining service activation, reducing operational complexities, and maximizing profitability by accelerating revenue cycles.
