Proximus NXT has won a major contract to provide managed cybersecurity services to multiple Belgian Federal Public Services (FPS) and other federal agencies.
The Security-as-a-Service 2 (SECaaS2) framework agreement will offer a comprehensive suite of 75 security services, enhancing cyber resilience across public sector organizations, and supporting compliance in accordance with the NIS2 directive, whilst also aligning with the CyberFundamentals (CyFun®) framework outlined by the Centre for Cybersecurity Belgium (CCB).
Valued at more than EUR 100 million (distributed over seven years), this marks the largest managed cybersecurity deal within Belgium’s public sector.
Proximus NXT has been a key cybersecurity partner for the Belgian Federal Government for several years, delivering managed security services under the current SECaaS1 contract to 10 major government entities, including FPS Finance, Justice, and the Ministry of Defense. The agreement covers approximately 70,000 end users.

Through the new SECaaS2 contract, Proximus NXT will expand its services and transition to a cloud-first security architecture. As the prime contractor, it will collaborate with top technology partners such as Microsoft, Palo Alto Networks, Inc., Cisco, and F5, among others. This framework will allow both existing and new federal agencies to access cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions aligned with regulatory requirements.
Following a competitive bidding process, Proximus NXT secured the contract by demonstrating its expertise in managed security services, regulatory compliance, and its Belgium-based security operations center (SOC). The cybersecurity solutions offered under SECaaS2 will also be available to other public and private sector organizations, addressing the growing challenges of an increasingly complex and regulated threat landscape.
