Accenture has successfully acquired Fibermind, an Italian company that focuses on deploying fiber and 5G mobile networks.
The acquisition, which was first announced on June 19, 2024, will enhance Accenture’s telecommunications network engineering capabilities and offers clients advanced industry expertise and technological resources, including automation, robotics, data, and AI.

With over 20 years of experience serving both public and private sector clients, Fibermind is set to contribute more than 400 skilled professionals to Accenture Operations. An official statement added that the “acquisition further expands Accenture’s infrastructure engineering scale and capability for 5G and fiber in Europe, aimed at delivering higher quality, greater innovation, and more rigorous cost management to clients across industries.”
The financial details of the acquisition have not been revealed.
Roberto Pagella, Head of Accenture Operations in Italy, indicated in the initial announcement that the acquisition would greatly enhance their expertise in telecommunications network engineering services, driving growth in a crucial sector.
“The synergies with Fibermind will allow us to create a center of excellence in engineering services where technology and data enhance and amplify human skills and knowledge,” Pagella expounded.

Andrea Targa, General Manager of Fibermind, is enthusiastic about the growth opportunities presented by joining Accenture and becoming part of its global network. He noted that this combination of expertise will strengthen their leadership in Italy and facilitate expansion beyond the country.
