Vodafone Unveils Plans for Major Logistics Hub in Luxembourg

Vodafone Group is set to establish a new logistics hub in Luxembourg to enhance the efficiency of handling mobile and fixed network equipment across its European markets.

The company will develop a 26,000-square-meter warehouse in the Bettembourg Logistic Park in partnership with MG Real Estate.

This facility is designed to streamline the movement of telecommunications equipment, such as antennas and routers, between regions. Notably, Vodafone claims that 88% of its in-market warehouses across Europe can be reached from Luxembourg within a 24-hour period.

The Vodafone Procurement Company will manage the new hub, which utilizes advanced digital technologies to monitor its end-to-end supply chain in real-time across its markets. Luka Mucic, Vodafone Group’s Chief Financial Officer, stated, “The creation of a new pan-European logistics hub in Luxembourg is in line with our strategy to simplify the way we run Vodafone and our commitment to being as cost-efficient as possible in our operations and supply chain. This investment will also reinforce Luxembourg’s position as a world-class logistics center.”

The facility will employ a Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) as a means of sustainable certification, reflecting Vodafone’s commitment to minimizing carbon impact using sustainable materials, processes, and technologies.

Construction is expected to commence early next year, with the logistics hub slated to begin operations in 2026.
