Vodafone Germany has teamed up with messaging firm, HORISEN, and DIMOCO Payments, to create a novel public transport ticketing system utilizing Rich Communication Services (RCS) and Direct Carrier Billing (DCB). The companies assert that this will be the pioneering solution of its type.
In a recent announcement, HORISEN revealed that it will supply its proprietary business messenger platform for the service. This setup enables commuters to purchase transportation tickets via Vodafone’s RCS messaging system and make payments directly through their phone bills.
