Infosys Sets Up New Proximity Center in Bulgaria

Infosys, a provider of next-generation digital services and consulting, has announced the establishment of a new proximity center in the capital of Bulgaria, Sofia, as part of its ongoing expansion in Europe.

According to Infosys, the new cutting-edge facility will allow it to attract, re-skill and up-skill 500 new employees. These new employees will work on global opportunities centered on next-generation digital technologies such as Infosys Cobalt Cloud Solutions, Infosys Topaz AI and automation, data and insights, IoT, 5G and software engineering over the next four years.

According to Infosys, Bulgaria has earned a reputation as an appealing market for IT development due to its advanced IT infrastructure, large pool of local IT specialists and superior IT knowledge.

This center, which will be located in the nation’s capital, will provide what is described as an ideal environment for companies from various sectors such as financial services and retail to convene and drive digital transformation efforts, both in Bulgaria and throughout Europe.

The center, in collaboration with these organizations, will serve as a hub for ideating, incubating, creating and scaling innovative emerging technology-based solutions.

It will also serve global and European customers as well as help accelerate their AI and cloud-led digital journeys. The center will strengthen Infosys’ existing client relationships in Europe, particularly in the manufacturing, retail and financial services sectors.

According to Infosys, this center will also be used to rapidly scale up teams across digital and analytical capabilities, as well as SAP and cloud.
