4iG Group has secured support from the North Macedonian government to begin operations in the country, bringing the company closer to a commercial launch in the Western Balkans.
According to a statement, 4iG and the North Macedonian government have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a foundation for long-term collaboration and explore potential opportunities for 4iG in North Macedonia.
The preliminary agreement was signed in Skopje by Aleksandar Nikoloski, Deputy Prime Minister of North Macedonia and Minister of Transport and Communication, and Jászai Gellért, President of the 4iG Group.

Expansion Terms
The document formalizing the long-term cooperation outlines how 4iG Group can enter the North Macedonian telecommunications market and specifies the shared goals for their future collaboration. These terms include:
- Improving the customer experience by introducing state-of-the-art mobile and broadband technologies that provide faster and more reliable communication and internet services in the Western Balkan country.
- Realizing investments in state-of-the-art technologies based on 5G, IoT and artificial intelligence (AI) to develop the digital ecosystem of North Macedonia, taking into account the North Macedonian government’s “Clean Network” initiative.
- Providing new and high-quality jobs by creating regional offices and operational centers, thereby contributing to economic growth and long-term development.
- Minimizing environmental impacts and supporting green initiatives in North Macedonia.
- Encouraging innovation, technological development and entrepreneurship in cooperation with local players in the economy.
The Memorandum of Understanding signed between the North Macedonian government and 4iG Group aligns with the “North Macedonia 2030” sustainability plan and the country’s commitment to the “Clean Network” Program. The partners will establish a joint working group to enhance cooperation, explore market opportunities, and expedite their collaborative efforts.
